Mark Biché

Mark W. Biché is a managing d irector in the financial services group at Piper Sandler. Biché has nearly 40 years of experience advising banks, thrifts and finance companies on strategic matters. He has been directly responsible for initiating, coordinating and closing over 200 merger and acquisition transactions and public and private offerings of debt and equity. He also has structured and capitalized several private equity funds, an Internet-only bank, a hedge fund and an exchange fund.

Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill in 2005, Biché spent three years at RBC Capital Markets as a managing d irector in its financial s ervices g roup and was a member of the firm’s Fairness Opinion Committee. He previously spent 15 years at McDonald Investments, most recently as managing d irector in their financial s ervices g roup , as well as operating h ead of its Strategic Acquisition Committee, which was responsible for the firm’s acquisition program. Prior to joining McDonald Investments, Biché was with the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland .

Biché is involved in various civic and charitable organizations. Currently, he serves as secretary of the board of trustees of The Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland (a system of 75 pantries and hot meal programs strategically placed throughout Cuyahoga County and a food rescue program ). He is also a member of the Dean’s Circle of John Carroll University’s Boler School of Business and the Finance and Collections Committees of the Western Reserve Historical Society. He is a past board member of Laurel School (independent girls school), past vice c hairman of The Western Reserve Historical Society and is past treasurer of the Parish Council of St. Ann Parish. He is also a member of the Cuyahoga County Blue Coats, an organization devoted exclusively to the well-being of families of Cuyahoga County safety o fficers who have lost their lives, or have become permanently and totally disabled, in the line of duty.

Biché earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from John Carroll University (1983) and also has his Series 7, 63, 79 and 24 licenses.
