HOUSTON --(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul. 13, 2018-- Simmons & Company International (Simmons), Energy Specialists of Piper Jaffray , is pleased to announce the hiring of Phil Ream as a managing director on the exploration and production (E&P) investment banking team. Based in the Houston office, Ream will focus on expansion of the upstream franchise to further deliver strategic advisory and capital markets solutions.

Ream has more than 20 years of investment banking experience and prior to joining Simmons he was a managing director at Barclays focused on the domestic E&P sector. Additionally, he held investment banking positions at Bear Stearns, Salomon Smith Barney , Wasserstein Perella and CS First Boston .

Ream graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering and earned his Masters of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania .
